Kelsey lives in Gastonia, NC with her husband John of 7 years. Together she and John have 3 children: CDH Angel Avett, 2 year old Eliana and 1 year old double CDH survivor Anders. Kelsey delivered all of her children at Levine Children's hospital in Charlotte, NC. Kelsey has a medical background as a Certified Surgical Technologist, working proudly as a labor and delivery tech until she became a medical mom herself and decided to stay home to raise her babies

Being the mom of both a CDH Survivor and a CDH Angel, Kelsey has a passion for helping families who receive this daunting diagnosis. She looks forward to working with the CDH Foundation to raise awareness for this birth defect that drastically changed her life and that of her children.
