Director
Kalyn lives in upstate New York with her husband Jeff and 2 sons, Owen (4) and LCDH survivor Luca (2). Upon receiving Luca’s CDH diagnosis she began scouring the internet for any and all resources available. After researching multiple hospitals she and her family made the decision to relocate to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St Petersburg Florida. In March 2020, she and her husband relocated with their then 1 year old son to Florida to begin their CDH journey. In April of 2020 Luca made his grand entrance into the world. After 74 days in the NICU and 110 days in Florida they were finally able to return home to New York as a family of four. This was when Kalyn decided to make it her mission to help CDH families in any way she could.
As a Director for the CDH Foundation she is eager to connect with newly diagnosed families to help them navigate this journey. She will seek to support families through the provision of resources as well as through the leading of a bi-weekly virtual support group: “Just Diagnosed: Now what?” CDH Awareness is her true passion and she is incredibly appreciative of the relationships she has made along the way. She hopes to use her experience to love and support families who are walking this same journey.
