Director
Britt lives in Kansas City with her husband of 7 years Trace and their 2 children Judah (4) and Nora (1). Their second son, Elias was diagnosed with CDH at 18 weeks gestation. Like so many other parents, Britt and Trace went to their ultrasound hoping to discover the gender of their newest addition but instead they were told so much more.. That was when CDH, an acronym she had never heard before, suddenly became a big part of her world. In April of 2020, Elias Drew made his entrance into the world at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He fought bravely for 3 weeks before passing away due to complications of CDH.
Through the loss of her son, Britt has found healing and hope in sharing Elias’s story with others. She now aims to help other grieving families feel less alone. As a Director of the CDH Foundation, Britt will be connecting with families who have had to say goodbye to their little fighters. She will also be leading a bi-monthly grief support group called Grief Share. Elias’s life may have been short, but his impact was great. Britt is overjoyed to share his story with others who have to walk this same path of grief. She hopes to help others as they do the very hard work of grieving.
