Director
Aubrey lives in Philadelphia, is married to Jordan, and mom to big brother Nate and CDH survivor Tilly. She holds a Masters in Public Health from Tulane University. In February 2019, Aubrey, Jordan, and Nate were living and working in Southern Africa when they got Tilly’s CDH diagnosis at the 22 week ultrasound. A lot of research and support helped them find their way to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Tilly was born in June 2019 in CHOP’s Special Delivery Unit and spent the first 45 days of her life on ECMO. Tilly had a very long hospital stay but came home after 15 months (456 days to be exact) Tilly came home with a tracheostomy (or trach for short), ventilator, oxygen support, G/J feeding tube, feeding pump, and 15 different medications, supplements, and breathing treatments - including a subcutaneous Remodulin pump. Tilly lived 4 amazing years before she died from pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary hypoplasia caused by CDH. Tilly was smart, sweet, sassy, and spicy. She loved songs and books and art and playing with her brother and pets. Tilly is greatly loved and greatly missed.
Aubrey is an open book about Tilly’s CDH journey and the grief from Tilly's death - she loves talking to other families and sharing Tilly’s story. As a family of wanderlusters, Aubrey and her family worked hard to help Tilly have a life full of fun adventures, and loved to get creative about ways to do this with all her gear.
As a Director of the CDH Foundation, Aubrey looks forward to helping families navigate and master the world of CDH and all the complexities (and gear) that can come with it!
